Experience and Expertise

Microsoft Windows

We have been developing software for the Windows platform since the release of Windows 3.0. We can write applications for Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003.

Visual Studio and Visual Basic

We started writing applications using Microsoft Access version 1.1 in 1993. In those days the language was a subset of Visual Basic known as Access Basic.

Since then, Microsoft have developed Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), which is the programming language available in nearly all of Microsofts business software packages.

TRS Technology are experts in programming applications for the Microsoft Windows platform using Visual Basic and all of the related Microsoft Office suite of applications.

The .NET Framework

We started using the .NET Framework when it was still a beta test version. Since it's official release in March 2002, we have been developing systems using these new tools and technologies as customer requirements have demanded.

This website is a .NET implementation. It is running on Windows Server 2003. It uses Internet Information Server 6.0 and ASP.NET. It stores its information (that's the stuff you're looking at now!) in a SQL Server 2000 database.

SQL Server 7.0 and 2000

Nearly all of the applications we have ever written have accessed a relational database of some description. We work mainly with SQL Server as the backend datastore, but where appropriate we will use a Microsoft Access (JET) database, according to your specific requirements. We can install, configure, troubleshoot and develop depending on your needs.

Microsoft Office 2000 and XP

Many of the Microsoft Office suite of applications can be professionally customized to enhance productivity further. For example, by validating user input in a Microsoft Word template.
