postheadericon Googlebot Keeps on Suckin It Up!

I’ve just posted this on the Google webmaster forum. I may have to dig out Google Ripper and start talking about this again. Its a bloody nuisance!

Dear Google,

I’ve just found a couple thousand inbound links that are a pharmacy spam exploit. This may be the remnants of an exploit I reported about a year ago here http://www.trstechnology.com/blog/index.php/k1b0rg-doorway-loader-v02/

These links have been indexed by googlebot and now point to my site, not good. How come googlebot sucks this stuff up and then points them at unsuspecting websites? Surely this is obvious spam? There are thousands of hidden links at the bottom of this blog page. I would have thought it was obvious. Yet here I am again with nasty crap pointing at my site and probably I’ll start to rank for ‘cheap viagra’ again. This pisses me off!

The links are in this blog at the bottom of the page, hidden. Go view the source.

Please remove all inbound spam links pointing to my website. Hint: anything relating to pharma / drugs is spam. Another clue: anything /blog/ph.php* is spam.

Thanks

steve

Michael Fortin is a well known copywriting and marketing genius and he’s on twitter. I followed one of his links and it goes to blip.fm. There’s so much stuff out there on the internet it’s almost impossible to keep track of whats going on. But a good thing about following some cool people on twitter is you find out where they are hanging out and what they are doing. Bottom line is I’m going to become a DJ!!

Check it out!!

postheadericon Personal Testimonial for Dr. Ernesto J. Fernandez, DOM, AP, LMHC

Who else wants answers to chronic health issues
medical doctors have told you they cannot help
or modern medical science has been unable to diagnose?

Dr Ernesto Fernandez is the Independent Business Advisor for the Glazer Kennedy Insider Circle South West Florida chapter. I have known him for about 15 months and he has become a good friend. I was very fortunate too meet him and so was my girlfriend Laura. The video below is my personal testimonial.

The following excerpt is from Live With Passion by Tony Robbins and explains how we are all subject to making bad decisions, through no particular fault of our own. However, if your job is to try and help people live longer, or perhaps save lives, maybe you should pay attention. You know who you are…

postheadericon Continental Airlines Need an Upgrade

Rant:

I purchased a ticket to go to New York in the summer of last year but coudn’t make the trip. So I ended up with a $268 credit for a eTicket. That’s nice. I’ve got credit with Continental.

A friend of mine is travelling to Teluride in February and she’s looking for a deal. I’ve got this eTicket and I need to go to Nashville in April. Problem is, Continental don’t service Nashville. Well, they do but they don’t have any direct flights and their prices are too high considering the palava you have to go through to get there from Tampa.

So, my friend says, I’ll transfer my Southwest airlines ticket to you. You can fly direct to Nashville and you transfer your credit to me and I’ll fly Continental to Montrose. I couldn’t be simpler.

I phone Continental and they advise me that the ticket has my name on it and it can’t be changed. Surely I say, you must be able to edit the name field. Noooo, they reply. We can’t change the name. Well, actually we could, but why should we bother helping you out, you filthy little scumbag, you’re not even an ePass member. Oh I say. So how much will it cost me to fly from Tampa to Nashville via Houston with a 6 hour lay over then, on top of my $268 credit. They say, $330 plus your credit, shall we book it for you Sir.

I can get it for $240 on Southwest nonstop (my friend just transfered her ticket to me from Southwest). On the exact days I want, without any hassle. So keep the $268 and p*^% off! I WILL NEVER FLY CONTINENTAL AGAIN EVER! GOODBYE!

Rant over:

postheadericon The End Is Nigh…

Well it’s been a great year for me and TRS Technology. Thank you to all my customers! I hope you have all had a great year too.

I’m working on a number of different projects that are going to take my businesses in new and exciting directions in 2008!

I’ve been working on a new business model with my Mastermind Group and am looking forward to moving that into production in 2008. I’ve been working on a way to get more leverage for my web development business and am now working out the finer details.

I’ve got so many other projects on the table that it’s a job just keeping them moving and prioritizing them. One thing for sure though, I will be selling more products and services online next year and will continue to focus on that.

postheadericon Don’t Make Any Assumptions

Many of you will have implemented systems within your organisations. You may have found that even things that seem relatively simple at first thougth, turn out to be more complex and challenging.

But this surely is a fact of life, not just systems or web implementations? I’ve always set and worked towards goals, both personally and professionaly. Having a clearly defined goal or goals allows you to focus specifically on what you want to achieve and aim at that like a target. With a bit of luck, you might hit it, or at least come pretty close.

Defining your requirement then is a goal setting process and is really a form of project and time management. No technical skills required. Just plain old common sense really. Its just a matter of getting all the facts together as they relate to the goals you are trying to achieve.

Its surprising how many people make all their decisions based on assumptions. Oh well I thought it would… but surely it must… don’t they all do that…

I recently read a facinating book called The Four Agreements, which are;

  1. Be impecable with your word
  2. Don’t make any assumptions
  3. Don’t take anything personally
  4. Always do your best

I’m working on a new consulting agreement and I think I might just include these in it! Maybe it would weed out some of the 80 percenters…
